September 25, 2015 #Walangpasok on Friday - Eid'l Adha

The Malacanang declared the date of September 25, 2015 as Regular Holiday, it means 'No Work, No Classes' nationwide. The President signed the proclamation no. 1128 in observance of EID’L ADHA (Feast of Sacrifice).

Eid'l Adha is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam. It was popularly known as Feast of Sacrifice. It was earlier recommended to observe on 24 September 2015 but later amended by The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos.

The recommendation based on the Islamic Calendar and the declaration made by Saudi Arabia’s highest religious authority, according to Proclamation No. 1128, s. 2015.

And according to the Republic Act No. 9849, Eid’l Adha shall be celebrated as a regular holiday.

So here the Proclamation No. 1128, s. 2015, was signed on September 15, 2015: Declaring Friday, 25 September 2015, as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice)
