The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) advised the public specially to those residents near West and East Valley Fault.
According to PHIVOLCS, West Valley Fault could possibly generate a magnitude 7.2 earthquake, while the East Valley Fault could generate a magnitude 6.2 earthquake.
The Valley Fault System Atlas was released by PHIVOLCS on Tuesday. It show the list of areas that are near an earthquake fault. VFS Atlas has a detailed large-scale maps that illustrates the places near West/East Valley Fault.
PHIVOLCS estimated possible 31,000 to 33,500 death toll if magnitude 7.2 earthquake occurred on West Valley Fault. It was based on studies made by the agency and in partnership with the the Metro Manila Development Authority, Japan International Cooperation Agency, and Geosciences Australia.
