The good news start here! The 30.6-Billion pesos bonus are set to distribute to all government employees starting on June 2015. President Benigno Aquino III signed the Executive Order (EO) 181 that giving the P30.6 billion for all local government workers in no earlier than June 1.
According to Abigail Valte, presidential spokesperson said that the signed cash bonuses will allow them to make a one-time Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) equivalent to an employee’s 1-month salary, but only if an agency or department reached the target requirements.
All government employees even the regular, contractual, and casual positions can receive the 1-month salary bonus but if the agency or department failed to meet the target performance they are entitled to the fixed amount of P5,000 only.
However, those Filipino individuals hired by the government without an employer-employee relationship, they are not included to this Productivity Enhancement Incentive program of the government.
They are the consultants, laborers hired through job contracts, job orders, or contracts of service, and student laborers and apprentices.
DBM Secretary Florencio “Butch” Abad said, this productivity incentive for government employees is part of the administration’s drive to strengthen public service within the Philippine bureaucracy.
