Darren Espanto received Gold record award his first self-titled album

The 14-years-old Fil-Canadian singer and "The Voice Kids" runner up Darren Espanto received his Gold label record award from MCA Music for his first full-length self-titled studio album 'Darren.'

Espanto was emotional when MCA Music executives gave him a plaque after his album reached gold. He shared his happiness to his fans and friends by posting his photo holding the award.

On his Instagram account, he posted his photo with a message caption: "Thanks so much! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that this would ever happen! Thank you MCA Music and to everyone who helped in the making of this! Salamat din po sa mga #DARRENATICS na sumuporta po and to my friends and family! And of course to GOD! #DarrenTheAlbum #DBirthdayConcert"

Espanto didn't expect to received this kind of award specially on his birthday. However, he was so very thankful to all the support that his fans gave to him. That's why the young singer is gearing up for his first ever solo concert.

According to ABS-CBN News, "Espanto will stage his first major solo concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 29."
