Local weather agency advised the public that super typhoon MAYSAK was intensify while approaching to Philippine area of responsibility this Wednesday, April 1.
PAGASA advisory as of 11 A.M today, that the "eye of the typhoon with international name “MAYSAK” was located based on all available data at 1,280 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar"
Once typhoon MAYSAK enter the PAR today, it will be codenamed as bagyong "Chedeng" and moving west northwest at 17 kph.
It packed with a maximum sustained winds of 215 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 250 kph.
PAGASA expected bagyong "Chedeng" tonight or until tomorrow morning, Maundy Thursday.
