Zayn Malik thanks One Direction as he accepts Asian Award

The former member of the famous One Direction 'Zayn Malik' thanked his former band as he accepted his trophy at the Fifth Annual The Asian Awards. This is the first public appearance after leaving the UK band.

Zayn Malik took the stage to accept the award for being 'Outstanding Contribution to Music.' The judges choose him as 'one of the most influential music artists of our time.'

Malik said,"I'd like to thank my mum and dad, and I'd also like to take this moment to thank four of the best guys I've ever met, everything I've done with them will stay with me for the rest of my life."

According to the Nowmagazine, Naughty Boy said, "Zayn's doing what he said he would, he's going to be a normal 22-year-old,' Naughty continued. 'He might learn the guitar, who knows."

This is not the first time for Zayn to support this kind of event. The singer and Naughty Boy attended last year with former EastEnders star Preeya Kalidas and broadcaster Jasmine Dotiwala, according to report.
